Business-Like Topics:

• Investing: I am a long term value investor.  I search for and analyze companies in search of investment opportunities (quality companies at a reasonable price).
• Tech Start-ups: Innovative technologies and start-up businesses fascinate me.  I am an Angel Investor and am working on building a tech business.   I am active in the Vancouver technology industry community – see my Hitchhiker’s Guide to Vancouver Tech.
• Real estate:  I am a real estate investor.  Most recently I have been concentrating on townhouses in Edmonton.
• Earth Observation:  I spent 20 years working in this industry and it still interests me. I do some consulting work in this field. I have a broad understanding of this industry and a deep knowledge of building end-to-end ground segments for imaging satellites.
• Language learning:   I have always had an interest in finding ways to better learn foreign languages and I built duolibri.com as way to make it much easier for intermediate learners to improve by reading great books.
